The Burriana City Council Plenary has approved a credit modification amounting to 115,000 euros for the complete replacement of the turf at the Juan Manuel Canós football field in the Llombai Sports Complex and for updating the Public Road vehicle fleet.
An additional 200,000 euros from the Diputación de Castellón's 'Més Esport' Extraordinary Plan will be added, bringing the total to 315,000 euros. This joint initiative will provide the city with modern and safe sports infrastructure, improving ball bounce and roll and reducing injury risk.

The council has also approved the granting of individual public commendations to four members of the Burriana Local Police Force—officers Ángel Briceño Luque, Jorge Alexander Clavijo Ruiz, María Dolores Pérez Altava, and Juan Bautista Ferrer Ramos—for their intervention on August 6, 2026, where they saved a resident's life.
The municipal corporation has formally noted the departure of councilor Daniel Gutiérrez Martínez from the VOX Municipal Group, who now becomes a non-attached councilor. The party is left with two councilors in Burriana.
