The company PAVASAL has been awarded the contract for works to finalize the development of execution unit B2, located on the plots behind the Villa Fátima School, with a budget of 1,085,375.24 euros. This decision follows the municipal plenary's approval of direct land management, unblocking a project that had been halted for 15 years.
The new actions will enable the connection of Manuel Cubedo i Giner, Ronda del Músico Ibáñez, and Río Mijares streets. This opening will improve traffic flow on Paseo San Juan Bosco and significantly increase safety for schoolchildren, in an area with high vehicle density due to the proximity of three educational centers.
With a five-month execution period, the works will include paving the roads and installing essential urban services such as sanitation, rainwater drainage, potable water, and public lighting. The infrastructure will be updated according to current regulations, adapting to changes over more than a decade.
The Governing Team, led by Mayor Jorge Monferrer, has decided that the council will directly assume 74.45% of the investment. This measure aims to protect the finances of residents in the residential area, covering cost overruns due to infrastructure obsolescence. Property owners will only need to contribute the remaining 25.55% through adjusted urbanization fees.
