The Batistes area in La Romana has seen its rural road, connecting the old CV-840 highway to the paved Batistes road, undergo improvements. The work, carried out last September, involved applying an asphalt dressing with gravel to enhance circulation conditions and connectivity within the rural environment.
The project received a 100% subsidy from the Provincial Council of Alicante, amounting to €42,500. This will soon be complemented by a new investment of €50,000 from municipal own funds, drawn from the treasury surplus.
These resources will enable the continuation of a project initiated in previous years to condition and improve various rural roads using aggregate and cement. The aim is to progressively enhance communications and connections within the rural fabric, focusing on roads that are crucial for accessing different areas of the municipality.
