The municipal plenary has given the green light to the regulatory programming bases for the indirect management of the La Foya PAI, an agreement that initiates the administrative process to tender the contracting of an urbanizing agent. This decision follows an investigation opened by SEPRONA into constructions carried out without the proper urban planning license over the last five years.
This progress does not exempt the investigated owners from their legal responsibilities, but it provides them with a solid argument for their defense, demonstrating the political will to urbanize the area. The objective is to regularize the situation of more than 200 built homes, including those with expired criminal charges but administrative irregularities.
According to Valencian urban planning law, the process includes the publication of the agreement, a public exhibition period for objections, the approval of the tender bases, and the selection of an urbanizing agent who will carry out the works. This process can take between 6 and 18 months, or even years, given the regulatory complexity.
The mayor, Abel Ibáñez, has highlighted the good rapport with the new owners' association, which supports this urban development, initially proposed in 2007 but judicially annulled. La Foya de Vilafamés has constructions on unprogrammed developable land, making their legalization feasible through the programming and development of the area.
