The new main representative of the city's festivities received the green sash in an event that gathered her Court of Honor and the godmothers of the 19 gaiatas, thus culminating the renewal of the festive representation for the upcoming cycle. The Mayor of Castellón, Begoña Carrasco, highlighted the historical weight of the festivities, especially in the year of the city's 775th anniversary, emphasizing the symbolism of Collados' reign.
The proclamation ceremony for the Child Queen, Nayra Luque Beltrán, took place the previous day at the same venue, linking the two major events for the designation of the main festive representatives.
Mayor Carrasco was responsible for bestowing the accreditation sash upon María Collados Marzá, who also received the parchment and the bouquet. From the throne, the new Queen will represent Castellón and its festivities throughout her year of mandate. The Municipal Band performed the City March during the sash presentation.
Carrasco conveyed the city's support to Collados, stating that the sash she wears is accompanied by the affection of all Castellón residents and a Court of Honor that will share an unforgettable year with her. The mayor also thanked the dedication of the festive community for keeping traditions alive.
Various authorities attended the event, including the President of the Valencian Courts, Llanos Massó; the Delegate of the Council, Susana Fabregat; as well as representatives from the National Police, Civil Guard, Local Police, and the Jaume I University. Also present were the President of the Municipal Patronage of Festivities, members of the Governing Council and Festivities Board, the president of the Gaiatas Management, the Federation of Collas, members of the municipal corporation, and other festive collectives.
Also in attendance were the Child Queen 2027, Nayra Luque; the queens of 2026, Clara Sanz and Ana Colón; the City Maids and Child Maids; the Mayoress of Valencia, Carmen Prades Gil; and the Bellea del Foc of Alicante, María Pastor González.
The ceremony included a farewell tribute to Clara Sanz, Queen of the Castellón Festivities 2026, and her Court of Honor (Bea, Marta, Lledó, María, Claudia, Naiara, and Victoria), recognizing her year of service to the festivities.
One of the highlights was the presentation of sashes to the seven City Maids 2027: Raquel Guillén Marco, Paula Beltrán Soler, Tania Candel Martínez, Claudia Beltrán Palència, Andrea Naches Montesinos, Núria García Falomir, and Marta Armijo Cabedo.
Previously, the godmothers of the 19 gaiatas received their sashes: Clara Carceller Fernández (Gaiata 1), Beatriz Fabregat Calatayud (Gaiata 2), Natalia Bellés Llobet (Gaiata 3), Denise Alberich Alagarda (Gaiata 4), Anna Roig Barberá (Gaiata 5), Alejandra Gallén Montañés (Gaiata 6), Martina Pallarés Gual (Gaiata 7), Natalia Dauffí Fabra (Gaiata 8), Carla Alonso Domingo (Gaiata 9), Ana Torres Farinós (Gaiata 10), Laura Godes Garbí (Gaiata 11), María Gomez Vicente (Gaiata 12), Ruth Bort Gomez (Gaiata 13), Gloria Bayo Martí (Gaiata 14), Mar Sanahuja Marco (Gaiata 15), Beatrice Balaj Hoarta (Gaiata 16), Sara Villar Varela (Gaiata 17), Iris Martorell Pou (Gaiata 18), and Sara Naches Montesinos (Gaiata 19).
The Castellón Municipal Band accompanied the ceremony with pieces such as Rotllo i Canya, Lanceros de la Reina, and the City March. The proclamation coincided with the events for the 775th anniversary of the founding of Castellón, highlighting the city's history and traditions.
