The Local Government Board of the Castellón City Council has approved the request to include the renewal of the artificial turf of the Sant Agustí and Sant Marc football field in the Extraordinary Plan + Sport 2026-2027, with a budget of 228,540 euros.

The action has a budget of 228,540 euros and a project prepared by the council itself. For its financing, the City Council has requested a subsidy of 200,000 euros from the Provincial Council and commits to cover any difference if the cost exceeds the maximum subsidizable amount.
The spokesperson for the government team, Vicent Sales, explained that "the agreement allows for the continuation of the process to replace the artificial turf of the Sant Agustí and Sant Marc football field, by submitting this action to a call for funding for sports facilities".
The Local Government Board also agreed to delegate to the Presidency of the Municipal Sports Board the competence to approve the contracting files and award procedures for the works to replace the lighting of football fields D and E of the Sports City and for the construction of new restrooms adjacent to the Fernando Úbeda multi-purpose pavilion. Both actions already have their respective projects drafted.
On the other hand, the Local Government Board has awarded T-Systems ITC Iberia SAU the specific contract to update the tax management and collection system, which will move from TAO 1.0 to version TAO 2.0 eStima, for an amount of 1,730,300 euros. The contract is included in lot 5 of the dynamic purchasing system 25/2022 and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The municipal spokesperson pointed out that "the award aims to update the IT tool used for the City Council's tax management and collection by moving to version TAO 2.0 eStima".
Finally, the Local Government Board has accepted a subsidy of 200,930 euros for the development of the Morning and Afternoon School service during 2026, within the framework of the Plan Corresponsables. Sales explained that "this aid is intended for the Morning and Afternoon School, a municipal service that facilitates family work-life balance".
