The municipal Government team's spokesperson, Councilor Vicent Sales, reported at a press conference on the decisions made, emphasizing the council's commitment to housing as a priority. "We are implementing measures to make access to housing easier for Castellón's families," stated Sales, detailing that the new homes will be located in various city areas, including Serradal Avenue, Ronda Magdalena, Pintor Camarón Street, Jorge Juan Street, Blasco Ibáñez Avenue, and Beatriz Guttmann Street.
In the educational sector, an application for aid has been approved for the free provision of education for 0-3 year olds in the municipal nursery schools Chupetes, Biberons, and Peücs for the 2026-2027 academic year, totaling 1,409,300 euros. Furthermore, the agreement with the Official College of Nurses of Castellón has been renewed to assign two healthcare professionals to CAES centers (Special Educational Action Center), with a municipal contribution of 46,500 euros.
Regarding citizen participation, the free use of a municipal premises at La Unión street, No. 11, has been authorized for the Plaza Donoso Cortés Neighborhood and Consumers Association (ASVECO) until July 31, 2031, with the City Council covering rent and utility costs.
In the cultural sphere, agreements have been reached to co-finance the 14th edition of «Trovam - The Valencian Music Fair 2026» (November 12-14) with 25,000 euros, and to request an 80,000 euro subsidy from the Valencian Institute of Culture for the project «MUT! - Non-verbal Performing Arts Showcase».
The shared use of a municipal space with the Consulate General of Romania in Valencia has also been authorized to serve as an information and digital support point for the Romanian community in the city.
Finally, the Councilor for Security and Emergencies, Antonio Ortolá, announced the approval of the tender for eight new fully equipped scooter motorcycles for the Local Police and Mobility Agents, with a maximum budget of 212,647.68 euros. Additionally, two Local Police officers have been appointed as permanent civil servants, and an error correction has been approved for the call for nine firefighter positions.
