The Generalitat has allocated 103,500 euros to Almassora to carry out urgent air conditioning works in nine public educational centers, including schools, nurseries, and high schools.

This investment is part of the Consell's extraordinary plan to ensure better thermal comfort in classrooms in the face of high temperatures. Educational centers will have the autonomy to decide which spaces require priority intervention and which technical solutions best suit their needs.
The distribution of funds includes 21,500 euros for the IES Álvaro Falomir and 19,000 euros for the IES Vila-roja. Regarding primary and nursery schools, the CEIP Regina Violant will receive 15,000 euros, the CEIP Riu Millars 10,000 euros, the CEIP Germans Ochando 9,500 euros, while the Boqueres and Cardenal Cisneros schools will receive 9,000 euros each. Finally, the CEIP Santa Quitèria and the Escuela Infantil San José will have 5,000 euros per center.
The resources will be used for the purchase and installation of portable air conditioning units, as well as for auxiliary works and the adaptation of electrical installations necessary for their operation. In general, the works must be completed before October, although the deadline may be extended until March 2027 in cases requiring more complex technical adaptations.
