The campaign, a collaboration between the City Council, UNED, and various business associations, will allow the more than 4,000 UNED students in the province to access special promotions. To benefit, students must present a campaign-enabled card at participating shops.
Participating businesses, which joined through associations like Espai Comercial and others representing streets like Sant Vicent and El Grau, will offer personalized promotions. A full list of shops and their offers is available on the Commerce department's social media or the Castellón City Council website.
The Councilor for Commerce and Consumption, Alberto Vidal, highlighted the municipal commitment to creating new opportunities for local businesses and connecting them with community groups like UNED students, who are considered an important part of the city. He emphasized the involvement of over 100 shops, demonstrating the vitality and initiative of local commerce in attracting and retaining customers.
For his part, the director of UNED in Castellón, Alejandro Ribes, thanked the City Council and participating businesses for their involvement, emphasizing how this initiative benefits students while supporting the city's local commerce.
The promotion will be valid until January 31, 2027. The Department of Commerce and Consumption stated it will continue to promote agreements to strengthen local trade and make Castellón an increasingly attractive place to shop.
