The event, with free admission, took place at the Open-Air Museum Villa Romana de l’Albir. The repertoire combined classical and contemporary music, highlighting the talent and careers of women in music.
Subsidized by the Institut Valencià de Cultura, the performance offered a journey through different eras and styles, from classical composers to great contemporary performers and singer-songwriters, aiming to bring chamber music to all audiences.
The Trío d’Archi, composed of Violeta Rosell Martín (violin), María Pons Gómez (cello), and Elisa García Sospedra (viola), performed works such as Dora Pejačević's ‘Romanza’, Jules Massenet's ‘Meditation of Thaïs’, and Chiquinha Gonzaga's ‘Corta Jaca’. It also included hits by artists like Aretha Franklin, ABBA, Nina Simone, Lady Gaga, Rosalía, and Alicia Keys.
The Councilor for Culture, Manuel Casado, highlighted the positive reception of the event, stating, “With this concert, we wanted to celebrate Hispanic Day with a cultural activity open to everyone, which also allows us to focus on the important role women have played and continue to play in music.”
The City Council has thanked the Institut Valencià de Cultura for its collaboration and the Trío d’Archi for their participation in this initiative, which has celebrated Hispanic Day by bringing music and heritage closer to residents and visitors.
