The agreement, signed by mayor Marcos Zaragoza and the president of the Doble Amor Association, José Luis Calvo, includes a direct subsidy of €27,000. These funds will be allocated to conservation, repair, adaptation, and the acquisition of new equipment for the facilities of the Occupational Center managed by the entity in the Marina Baixa region.
Furthermore, the subsidy will ensure the viability of the adapted transport service. This guarantees the daily transfer and assistance of users registered in Vila Joiosa to both the Doble Amor Occupational Center and the CRIS (Rehabilitation and Social Integration Center) in Benidorm.
Mayor Marcos Zaragoza highlighted the municipal commitment to continue supporting associations that care for those most in need, such as the Doble Amor Center, an entity with a long history in the Marina Baixa and constant dedication to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
The Councilor for Social Services and Equality, Maite Sánchez, emphasized the importance of the work carried out by the Doble Amor Center and assured the City Council's ongoing support to help them move forward.
