The Xàbia City Council has installed new traffic light-coded information panels at the entrances to the Montgó Natural Park to communicate whether access is permitted or closed.

Given the increasing frequency of natural park closures, such as Montgó, by the Ministry of Environment, especially during intense heat waves, the Xàbia City Council has taken measures to improve visitor information. New panels have been placed at the main access points to the area.
These panels use a color-code system similar to traffic lights. When conditions are normal and access is open, they will display the color green. If access is closed for safety or other reasons, the panel will change to red.
Through this initiative, the aim is for anyone to be able to check access status before traveling, thus avoiding unnecessary trips and contributing to ensuring the safety of all visitors and the natural space itself.
