The operation began following a citizen's alert to 091, reporting men loading a motorcycle into a van and leaving the scene. The witness provided vehicle characteristics, enabling officers to initiate a city-wide search.
Shortly after, officers located the van driving on the outskirts of Dénia. Three men were inside, and a motorcycle was found. However, the bike did not match the initial description.
Concurrently, the owner of another motorcycle reported it stolen. Officers confirmed it was the vehicle found inside the van, leading to the arrest of its occupants.
The investigation revealed that one of the arrestees had rented the van and that the suspects had placed license plates from another vehicle over the original ones. The second motorcycle was later found hidden in a Dénia parking lot, presumably to be collected later.
The police action has led to the recovery of both stolen motorcycles. The three detainees have been handed over to the on-duty investigating courts of Dénia.
