The celebration of Spain's victory turned the municipal football field Diego Mena in Dénia, the epicenter of the festivities, into a scene more akin to a "botellón" (street party) than a sporting celebration. Scattered garbage and damage to the benches contrasted sharply with the spirit of "fair play".
The staff from the Sports Department have repaired the damage in record time. The Councilor for Sports, Valen Alcalà, highlighted their work and called for reflection, warning that "with these images, it is clear that there is still much to be done as a society." He recalled that over 50 bins were placed to prevent waste accumulation.
Alcalà thanked the collaboration of the Local Police, Civil Protection, and the Sports Department workers in cleaning and repairing the field, which is now in perfect condition.
