The Moors and Christians of Dénia collective, in collaboration with the City Council and the Transfusion Center of the Comunitat Valenciana, has announced a new edition of the festival blood donation drive.

The event is scheduled for Friday, July 31st, from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and will be held at the Dénia Social Center. The goal of this action is to bolster blood reserves during the summer period, when hospital demand tends to rise while donations often decrease.
The campaign is open to the entire public, in addition to festival members. To participate, volunteers must be between 18 and 65 years old, weigh over 50 kilograms, and not be fasting. According to the Transfusion Center, each donation can help up to three different patients.

"In summer, blood reserves usually decrease while demand in hospitals increases. That is why it is especially important to take advantage of an event like this."
