The procedure will be officially activated after its publication in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana. From that moment, a 60-day period will open for residents, groups, and professionals to analyze the document and submit their proposals or concerns.
According to the council, the process seeks to go beyond regulatory compliance to build a consensus-based growth model. To facilitate participation, workshops and sectoral meetings are planned starting in September, aimed at technicians, construction companies, and environmental groups.
The document has been drafted following the guidelines of the Conselleria de Medio Ambiente, Infraestructuras, Territorio y de la Recuperación. The goal is to update the current planning, which dates back to 1982, to adapt it to the current social, economic, and territorial needs of Benissa.
