The Dénia City Council has organized a training day for students of cuisine, gastronomy, commerce, and restaurant services, as part of the municipal commitment to addiction prevention and the promotion of safe leisure.

The initiative, developed at the state level with the participation of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and the Government Delegation for the National Plan on Drugs, aims to involve the hospitality sector as a key agent in prevention. During the session, students addressed practical issues regarding the effects and risks of alcohol and other drugs, regulations on the sale and supply of alcohol, especially the prohibition for minors, and the principles of responsible serving.
Strategies for identifying risk situations and acting in case of possible incidents, such as dizziness, falls, or conflicts related to substance use, were also discussed. The objective is for future professionals not only to acquire technical knowledge but also to have tools to offer responsible service and contribute to customer well-being.
The training is part of the municipal commitment to addiction prevention and the promotion of healthy and quality leisure in the city.
