The event, originally scheduled for last Sunday, had to be postponed due to the DANA storm that affected the municipality. Thanks to the work carried out in recent days to restore normality to the sports facilities, the gathering has been successfully held.
The event included the traditional parade of sports schools, with representation from the various disciplines offered by the municipality. Despite the competitive commitments of many teams and athletes, the schools were well represented.
The municipal sports offering for this season is extensive and includes football, futsal, basketball, handball, volleyball, athletics, rhythmic gymnastics, rugby, paddle tennis, climbing, badminton, chess, Valencian pilota, and adapted sports, in addition to local leagues and the Bressol Esport and Multiesport programs. As a new feature, the first Multiesport group for children aged 6 to 9 has been launched, aiming to introduce them to various sports through play.
The presentation was enlivened by dance performances from participants of Llunàtics and concluded with a group photograph of the athletes.
The Councilor for Sports, Valen Alcalà, highlighted the human value of the municipal schools and thanked the involvement of clubs, families, technical teams, and City Council staff. He made special mention of the teaching staff and students of the vocational training cycle at IES Chabàs for their collaboration in restoring the facilities after the DANA storm.
