The heatwave affecting the Valencian territory has led town councils in La Costera, La Vall d'Albaida, La Ribera Alta, La Ribera Baixa, and La Safor to activate climate emergency protocols.

Following the alert issued by the State Meteorological Agency, which forecasts highs exceeding 43 °C in inland areas, local authorities have coordinated actions to protect the population, with special attention to vulnerable groups and outdoor workers.
In La Costera, climate shelters have been set up in air-conditioned municipal spaces, and schedules for cleaning and public works services have been adjusted to avoid sun exposure during peak risk hours. In other areas like La Vall d'Albaida, free access to municipal swimming pools has been granted, and monitoring of dependent individuals has been reinforced.
In La Ribera Alta, outdoor activities scheduled for the afternoons have been suspended, and home care assistance has been increased. Meanwhile, in La Ribera Baixa, efforts are focused on strengthening beach lifeguard services, while in La Safor, Civil Protection is monitoring forest areas to prevent fires due to the extreme risk.
