The city of Xàtiva is hosting today, Tuesday, August 18th, a day within its Fair dedicated to inclusion, with special attention to people with Asperger's and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). To enhance the experience for this group, hours with no music or sound effects have been established at the Fairground's attractions, specifically from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The day's program includes a wide variety of children's activities, sports, exhibitions, and a cultural and musical offering designed for all attendees. The event will officially commence at 10:00 AM with an inauguration on Avinguda de Selgas, attended by municipal authorities, the Fair Queen, and representatives from AXATEA and the fair organizers.
During the morning, Albereda de Jaume I will host the 'Dona’t a Conéixer' space (from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM), featuring informational activities from Turisme La Costera, the Valencian Association for Solidarity with Africa (AVSA), and the presence of Cabra Fotuda. Additionally, AXATEA will organize children's workshops at the same location at 11:00 AM. Music will be provided starting at 1:00 PM by the Colla de Dolçaines i Percussió La Socarrà, and at 2:00 PM, a mascletà will take place in Jardí de la Pau, presented by Pirotecnia Crespo.
The afternoon will continue with the 'Dona’t a Conéixer' space (from 6:00 PM to midnight) and a fencing exhibition by the Club de Esgrima Xàtiva at the Fairground at 7:00 PM. Children's theater will be presented at 7:30 PM at CEIP Martínez Bellver with the puppet show “The Show Moscón” by the company Galitoon.
The evening will feature various musical performances. At 10:00 PM, the group VAM will perform a tribute concert to La Oreja de Van Gogh, Mecano, and Amaral at the Gastro Rod-Arte Gastronomic Space. Later, at 11:00 PM, Jardí del Palasiet will host a Night of Sainetes with local plays, while the Municipal Football Stadium La Murta will host the Grand Concert 'Noche de los 80' with performances by OBK and Cara B. The musical day will conclude at midnight with the Al Ras Festival and a DJ Night in Jardí de la Pau.
