The Mislata City Council has opened a call to award up to 700 grants of 150 euros each, aiming to facilitate the acquisition of driving licenses for young people aged 18 to 25.

The initiative, promoted by the Youth Department, has a municipal investment of up to 105,000 euros and seeks to promote autonomy, employability, and equal opportunities among the young population of the municipality. Access to a driving license is considered a key tool for expanding young people's employment prospects, especially given the significant financial effort involved in training and obtaining the permit.
Mayor Carlos F. Bielsa highlighted the importance of this measure: "A driving license can be much more than a document; for many young people, it is a gateway to employment, training, and greater independence. That's why the City Council provides public resources where they are needed, helping to ensure that a family's income level does not determine their children's opportunities." Bielsa added, "We want a Mislata that facilitates emancipation, generates opportunities, and leaves no one behind. Investing in our young people is investing in the future of our city."
To access these grants, young people must meet several requirements: be between 18 and 25 years old, be registered in Mislata for at least two years, have obtained the B driving license between September 1, 2025, and October 30, 2026, and have completed training at a local driving school. Additionally, applicants must be up-to-date with their tax obligations and have a family income not exceeding 60,000 euros annually.
The deadline for submitting applications is October 30, 2026. Applications can be submitted through the Mislata City Council's Virtual Office, where all information and guidelines for the call can also be found.
