The Civic Hall of the Antic Mercat in Torrent has hosted a recognition event for 42 festival members who, over four decades, have promoted the Moors and Christians festival.

The ceremony, organized by the Federation of Moors and Christians of Torrent, served to highlight the commitment and dedication of the people who made the evolution of this celebration possible. The event was attended by institutional representatives, members of the comparsas and filàs, as well as relatives of those honored.
During the meeting, an audiovisual journey was presented, accompanied by live music from the Unió Musical de Torrent. The repertoire included nine pieces that served as a common thread to remember the legacy of those who worked selflessly for the festival.
The mayor of Torrent highlighted the importance of memory and sentiment in building local identity. For its part, the Federation expressed its desire for this event to become a permanent meeting point to keep alive the memory of all the festival members who have been part of the city's history.
