Yesterday morning, the Nou Espai building hosted the 3rd Childhood and Family Meeting of Benetússer. This space for encounter, coordination, and joint work brings together public institutions, municipal services, social, community, and third-sector entities that directly or indirectly contribute to improving the quality of life for children, adolescents, and families in the municipality.
The main objective of these sessions is to promote more coordinated, comprehensive, and community-based intervention. To achieve this, a common circuit is being developed to establish common criteria for accessing different resources and to improve communication among all involved agents, thereby avoiding duplicated efforts.
The Meeting adopts a broad perspective on childhood, understanding that the well-being of children and adolescents depends not only on resources specifically aimed at children but also on those that impact their family, community, and social environment, such as housing, employment, health, mental health, leisure, education, coexistence, participation, and community support.
“"Through this working tool, we can establish clear and common criteria for more coordinated intervention or referral among available resources, aiming to improve the attention, guidance, and support for minors and their families."
