The Elda City Council has joined the celebration of Breast Cancer Day with a manifesto reading and banner placement, while the postponed Pink March will be held next Sunday.

Elda today commemorated Breast Cancer Day, observed on October 19th, with a manifesto reading at the City Hall Square and the placement of a banner on the council balcony. These events were attended by members of the Municipal Corporation, led by mayor Rubén Alfaro, and representatives from the Vinalopó Breast Cancer Association (AcMAVI).
The Pink March, organized by AcMAVI in collaboration with the city councils of Elda and Petrer, will take place next Sunday. The march will begin at 11:00 AM in El Campet Park in Petrer. All these events had been postponed last week due to adverse weather conditions.
Additionally, the Elda City Council has illuminated the facade of the council building, the La Estación bridge, the fountain and shell feature in Plaza Castelar, the palm tree at Padre Manjón, and the monument to childhood in Plaza del Zapatero in pink.
