With the Alaquàs Major Festivities approaching, scheduled from August 28th to September 12th, two key meetings have taken place. The first, a Local Security Board convened by mayor Toni Saura, aimed to coordinate planned operations and improve communication among security forces and administrations. Attendees included Government sub-delegate José Rodríguez, Alaquàs Local Police commissioner Antonio Carrasco, and representatives from the Local, National, and Regional Police.
During this meeting, protocols for the festive events were analyzed, focusing on the coordination of personnel and response capabilities for potential incidents. The collaboration protocol on gender violence between the Local Police and the National Police was also renewed.
Concurrently, a meeting of the Municipal Action Plan's Special Emergency Coordination Committee (CECOPAL) was held. The objective was to review preventive measures for potential emergency situations arising from intense rainfall, storms, strong winds, or flooding. The protocol for activating the municipal departments within CECOPAL was discussed to ensure a swift and coordinated response to any adverse events.
As part of preventive tasks, the condition of the municipality's drains and gutters was inspected to minimize the potential impact of heavy rains. Through these initiatives, the Alaquàs City Council seeks to strengthen coordination and ensure the safe progression of the festivities, alongside preparedness for any emergency.
