On a day marked by the return to classrooms, Benetússer's educational centers have opened their doors to receive the 2,635 students enrolled for the start of the 2026/27 academic year. Secondary school students are the most numerous with 987 minors, followed by the 388 studying high school. In primary education, classrooms accommodate 900 students, while in early childhood education there are 360 children.
During the summer months, the municipal services of the Benetússer City Council have carried out improvement and maintenance work on public facilities. These interventions in masonry, gardening, and thorough cleaning have prepared the centers for the back-to-school period.
Furthermore, the absence of students and teachers was used to install over a hundred fans in the classrooms of CEIP Vicent Ricart i Bonillo, Blasco Ibáñez, and Cristóbal Colón. This investment, amounting to 27,600 euros, responds to the local educational community's request, pending a resolution from the regional education department for new air conditioning systems.
