The Alaquàs City Council maintains a year-round municipal pest control service with weekly actions to prevent and combat mosquitoes, rodents, and cockroaches in the urban area and industrial estate.

The council has divided the municipality into four sections to ensure constant, effective, and sustainable intervention. Each week, one section is addressed, covering the entire municipal area throughout the month and reinforcing the prevention of potential outbreaks.
The Public Health Department reports that the service includes Disinfection, Disinsection, and Deratization (DDD) treatments, as well as specific actions against common and tiger mosquitoes. These tasks are carried out in the sewage network, public roads, green areas, educational centers, sports facilities, municipal buildings, and industrial estates.
In addition to the regular schedule, the contracted company responds immediately to any reported notices and incidents occurring anywhere in the municipality, ensuring a swift and effective response.

"Prevention is fundamental, and that is why we maintain an active service throughout the twelve months of the year, with weekly actions that allow us to control the entire municipality continuously and in a planned manner."
