Vinalesa's festivities for 2026 are ready, with a program aiming to preserve local traditions while incorporating activities for different generations. The festive calendar includes events honoring Mare de Déu del Rosari, Verge del Pilar, Santa Bàrbara, and Sant Honorat, alongside cultural, musical, gastronomic, and children's offerings.
The official kickoff will be on Friday, September 25th, with the presentation of the 2026 Festival Queen, Lucía Vitini Deltoro, and her Court of Honor. The event, starting with the Queen's reception accompanied by the Banda de la Societat Renaixement Musical de Vinalesa, will take place at 10:00 PM at the Centre Cívic, followed by musical entertainment.
Saturday, September 26th, is dedicated to the younger generation with the Children's Day, featuring a children's parade, dinner, and a mini-disco. The following day, Sunday the 27th, will see the Festival Parade at 6:00 PM, also marking the start of the Senior Citizens' Week, which runs until October 6th with workshops, excursions, and cultural visits, including to the Museu de la Xocolata Comes in Sueca or the Coves de Sant Josep.
Music takes center stage on October 3rd with the 32nd Festival de Bandes a Festes, organized by the Societat Renaixement Musical de Vinalesa, featuring the Agrupació Musical l’Alcalatén de l’Alcora. October 4th hosts the traditional Senior Citizens' Lunch, followed by a dance session.
October 9th will be a key day, with a concert by the SRM Youth Band at midday and the inauguration of a bust dedicated to Pere Bas in the garden of Plaça de la Fundació Pere Bas. Gastronomy follows with the distribution of 'calderas' (stews) and a game of 'galotxa'. The day concludes with a 'correfocs' (fire run) by Falla dels Xiquets.
The evening of October 8th features the Popular Dinner and a performance by Orquesta Montecarlo. Patron saint celebrations continue throughout the month, with events honoring Mare de Déu del Rosari (Oct 3-4), Verge del Pilar (Oct 2, 11-12), Santa Bàrbara (Oct 10, 12-13), and Sant Honorat (Oct 13-17), including processions, masses, stew distributions, and fireworks.
The program, primarily centered around the Centre Cívic marquee, will also include a Violet Point on several days to promote equality and prevent sexist aggression.
