Paterna City Council has finalized the acquisition of 15,000 m² of land in the Santa Rita neighborhood, located in the urban center and opposite the PAI de Los Molinos. The objective is to allocate these plots for the construction of public protection housing, with the commitment that 100% of the new homes in this area will be publicly subsidized.
The Mayor of Paterna, Juan Antonio Sagredo, highlighted the importance of this acquisition in offering solutions to the housing need. "This acquisition is an important step to put land at the service of our residents and facilitate their access to a home," he stated.
Sagredo emphasized the efficiency in managing public resources, as the land, valued at 2.5 million euros, was acquired for 390,000 euros. "We have taken advantage of an opportunity to obtain land valued at 2.5 million for 390,000 euros," he noted.
The Deputy Mayor of Presidency, Eva Pérez, explained that the initiative will also include green areas, parks, and new services for the Santa Rita neighborhood, improving the environment and the quality of life for its inhabitants. "It's about planning Paterna's growth by addressing the needs of our citizens," she added.
The Mayor reaffirmed the municipal commitment to finding solutions to the housing problem, arguing that "competencies cannot be an excuse to stand idly by." The City Council will continue seeking opportunities to benefit its residents.
