The activity, organized by the Associació Quart és Ciència, will take place between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. During the day, more than a dozen workshops designed for all audiences will be offered with the aim of stimulating rational thinking and interest in scientific progress.
The IATA-CSIC (Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology) will have a prominent presence with the AlimentArte initiative. In this space, attendees will be able to extract pigments such as chlorophylls, anthocyanins, carotenoids, and betalains from various foods. The goal is to use these elements to paint while discovering the biological functions and nutritional benefits they provide to plants and human consumption.
The fair's program includes other outreach proposals on archaeology, mathematics, genetics, flora, fauna, and the study of insects or bacteria. In addition, the public will be able to observe the sun with telescopes, build mathematical surfaces, and participate in a scientific photocall.
