The action plan includes preventive irrigation using the 20 water cannons of the Guardian system. This infrastructure uses reclaimed water to increase the humidity of the ground and vegetation in the interface zone between the forest and residential areas, thus hindering the spread of potential fires.
The device is supported by the AVISPAT intelligent emergency management system, which assesses risk daily. In addition, the area has a technological network consisting of 65 smoke sensors, surveillance cameras with infrared vision, and weather stations that allow real-time monitoring of the environment.
The operation is completed with the coordination of the Local Police Environmental Unit, the Forest Brigade, and the surveillance tower. At the same time, cleaning and clearing work is being carried out in ravines, paths, and municipal plots to reduce the load of plant fuel.
On the other hand, the council has reported that Civil Protection personnel from Paterna are collaborating in support tasks for the extinction of the fire declared in Vall d'Uixó. Likewise, landowners are reminded of the obligation to keep their plots clean to minimize the risk of fire.
