The Burjassot City Council, through the Youth Department led by Javier Naharros, has organized the I Youth Meeting. The event, which took place on July 16th at the Teatre El Progrés, served as a space to listen and understand firsthand the interests and needs of the municipality's young population.
Through various dynamics, attendees shared their preferences regarding leisure time management, activities they would like to undertake, and what they believe is lacking in Burjassot for young people. Among the most notable proposals are the creation of a youth space, the organization of sports events, a broader cultural offering, alcohol-free leisure activities, volunteering opportunities, as well as cultural outings and excursions.
The future Municipal Council was also discussed, with its regulations currently undergoing public consultation. The Youth Department will analyze all the information gathered to begin working on the demands expressed by the youth during the meeting.
