Ferran Bartual, Councilor for Entrepreneurship, Industrial Estates, Neighborhoods, and Fallas at the Foios City Council, recently met with ASSOLIR, the Association for Sustainability and Resilience. This organization, based in Alicante, aims to foster growth that respects the territory and to advocate for environmental protection and energy sustainability, considering the business sector's contribution crucial.
The meeting, held at the Centre del Carme de Cultura Contemporània de València, agreed to host a presentation event for ASSOLIR's project in Foios during 2027. The exact date will be set later. The goal is to expand the entity's cooperation network and strengthen its presence in the Valencian regions, targeting entrepreneurs and city councils in L'Horta Nord.
The connection between the Foios City Council and ASSOLIR is not new. On June 8th, a municipal delegation attended the first ASSOLIR Award ceremony in Alicante, which honored the Alicantinian company Vectalia. On that occasion, they expressed their desire to strengthen ties with an association that defends the language and traditions of the Valencian Community.
ASSOLIR, founded in 2025 in the Alicante regions and chaired by David Alpera, brings together entrepreneurs and professionals to promote sustainable economic development. In its 2026-2030 strategic plan, the entity intends to act as a think tank, with observatories on waste, industrial land, housing, and infrastructure, as well as agreements with the University of Alicante and the organization of events on energy and industrial land.
