The Municipal Sports Foundation is organizing the second edition of the Solidarity Race on Sunday, November 8th, in Valencia, featuring five-kilometer races, popular walks, and children's races to support individuals with ADHD, lung cancer, and multiple sclerosis.

The sporting event, in collaboration with the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, will take place along the Albereda promenade, between the Pont dels Flors-Alcaldessa Rita Barberá and the Pont de l’Exposició. Registrations are open until November 5th, with fees ranging from 3 to 10 euros, and a 'Dorsal 0' option for those wishing to contribute without participating in the races.
Each participant can allocate 70% of their fee to one of the three causes: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), lung cancer, or multiple sclerosis. The remaining 30% will be distributed equally among the other two causes, ensuring support for all.
The Mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá, emphasized during the event's presentation that "behind each of these three causes there are people, there are stories, there are families who need support, understanding, and hope." Catalá encouraged everyone to find a way to contribute, whether by participating in the events or through the Dorsal 0.
The program will begin at 9:00 AM with the competitive five-kilometer race. Following this, at 9:05 AM, the non-competitive walk of the same distance will start, succeeded by the two-kilometer walk at 9:30 AM. Children's races, with routes adapted to different age categories, will commence at 10:20 AM.
After the sporting events conclude, the organizing entities have planned workshops and a Zumba class for participants. Fees are 10 euros for the five-kilometer races, 5 euros for the two-kilometer walk, and 3 euros for the children's races. The official t-shirt will be available for purchase for 5 euros.
This edition involves the +16 TDAH Valencia Association, the research group in Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis at the La Fe Health Research Institute, and the Spanish Association of Lung Cancer Patients (AEACaP). The +16 TDAH Valencia Association promotes inclusion for young people and adults with ADHD, while the La Fe team researches to improve understanding of multiple sclerosis. AEACaP works to raise awareness about lung cancer and defend the rights of affected individuals.
