The presentation of the 'Catalog of Fences' project will take place at L'ETNO — Valencian Museum of Ethnology, featuring participants Hassan López, Teresa Juan, and Escif. The event, which is free and open to the public until capacity is reached, will be preceded by a guided tour.
The project has been developed through the collaboration of diverse voices, including anthropologists, activists, researchers, artists, and individuals with different life trajectories as migrants, creating a plural space for reflection. These conversations have addressed topics such as symbolic violence, racism, colonial heritage, border militarization, and the media's construction of the 'other'.
The initiative also seeks to consider borders not only as spaces of conflict but also as sites of encounter. In response to the logic of exclusion, it proposes imagining the possibility of a cosmopolitan citizenship based on the right to movement and, fundamentally, to exist.
