For five days, attendees can enjoy an extensive range of activities and visit various stalls showcasing local and regional products, with a special focus on honey, the area's main product. This year's event program includes live honey harvesting demonstrations, workshops, guided tours, and performances.
The opening day, Thursday, October 8th, begins at 6:00 PM with the official inauguration of the 25th edition at La Glorieta and the opening of the fairgrounds. Subsequently, a live honey harvesting demonstration will take place at the La Negrita fountain.
On Friday, October 9th, the day starts with a guided tour of the Castellar de Meca Iberian Settlement and another at the Apicultural Interpretation Center. Workshops such as 'Paint your own Iberian Kalathos' will be offered at the Teatro Regio, along with guided tours of the Castle, olive oil tastings, ayorino gazpacho tastings, and honey harvesting demonstrations.
The weekend continues with more activities. Saturday, October 10th, includes a Vespa gathering, an exhibition of emblematic motorcycles, workshops, concerts, and music and dance performances. On Sunday, October 11th, the program features workshops, honey tastings, musical performances, and a contest for dishes made with honey.
The celebration culminates on Monday, October 12th, with more workshops, demonstrations, tastings, and performances, including a masterclass on 'Honey Beer' by Cervecería Zarra and a theater show. The closing ceremony and a fireworks display will mark the end of the fair.
