The city of Valencia hosts FESTIAV, the first international festival dedicated to cinema created with Artificial Intelligence, kicking off on October 26th.

Valencia will host FESTIAV, the first and foremost international festival dedicated to cinema created with Artificial Intelligence. Established in 2025 with the aim of becoming an international benchmark, the festival brings together creators, audiovisual professionals, and the general public to explore AI-generated cinema as a tool and a new form of artistic expression.
The festival's agenda begins on October 26th with an inaugural talk by Carlos Fernández de Vigo, a Goya-winning director and producer, who will discuss ethical AI in cinema. That same day, FESTIAV Lab will launch, a 24-hour creative challenge where teams of creators will develop an audiovisual piece using AI.
On October 27th, Pablo Ballester (KSPMN) will give a session on generative AI in professional creative processes. This will be followed by a panel discussion on ethics, deepfakes, and intellectual property with Inés de Casas (ELZABURU), Íñigo Echávarri, and Hilario Abad.
Screenings for the Official Section will take place on October 28th and 29th at Cines ABC Park, alongside B2B networking events for creators, companies, and professionals in technology and audiovisual.
The closing day, October 30th, will feature a talk by JM Blay, a leading figure in motion design and 3D. There will also be a panel discussion on the new audiovisual ecosystem with Tamara Llorens, Mimi Bejarano, and Nadia Alonso-López, followed by the FESTIAV awards ceremony.
