The Valencian Community will experience a Sunday of meteorological contrasts, with a break in high temperatures but an increase in atmospheric instability that could bring showers and storms.

After days of intense heat, maximum temperatures will slightly decrease this Sunday in the Valencian Community. Highs of 32 degrees are expected in Alicante, 31 in Castellón, and 30 in València. However, instability will gain prominence in the sky, with the possibility of rain and storms that could heavily impact different parts of the region.
The Serra Calderona, recently affected by a fire that burned over 630 hectares, could receive some relief from these precipitations. Low clouds and some showers are expected in the morning, especially in exposed coastal areas. As the day progresses, cloudiness will tend to decrease on the coast, although afternoon storms cannot be ruled out.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued warnings for rainfall that could reach 20 liters per square meter in one hour in sectors of the coast of Castellón and northern València. The rain will not be uniform, with the possibility of heavy accumulations in some areas and little to no impact in others just a few kilometers away.
This atmospheric instability could continue until Monday, although the maritime situation does not currently foresee warning conditions. High temperatures, despite the respite, are not entirely disappearing but do not seem poised to reach the extremes of the previous week either.
