The measure implies a total ban on traveling along the tracks and paths of the Devesa, for vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians alike. These restrictions do not affect management, maintenance, surveillance, resident access, or service vehicles located within the park.
Furthermore, work in forest areas, recreational use of fire, and authorizations for sports circulation have been suspended. Local Police, Firefighters, Forest Rangers, and Civil Protection volunteers maintain a permanent surveillance device in the area.
Additionally, the council has activated the SIDEINFO cannons to moisten the vegetation. This system, which allows for a volume of 10,000 liters per minute, is complemented by 15 portable units to reinforce forest protection.
Finally, the city keeps its network of 40 climate shelters operational, including the IVAM, and the 77 PUSDAR water supply points to offer thermal comfort to citizens during the extreme heat episode.
