The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has warned that the intense heat episode will last at least until Thursday. This Monday, temperatures will already be high in several parts of the territory, including Valencia, with readings that could reach 40 °C in the southern interior of the province.
The Emergency Coordination Centre has issued a special warning, noting that conditions are dangerous for health, especially for vulnerable groups. It is recommended to limit outdoor activities, maintain an adequate temperature inside homes, and wear light clothing to avoid heatstroke.
The situation is worsened by the extreme risk of forest fires, which is currently at its maximum across the entire Valencian territory. Additionally, there is a possibility of dry thunderstorms in inland areas of Castellón and Valencia.
The start of this week has been marked by torrid nights, with thermometers not dropping below 26 °C in numerous towns. According to data from the Valencian Association of Meteorology (Avamet), significant nighttime values have been recorded in places such as Puçol or the city of Valencia.
