The Valencia City Council has decreed a total closure of access to the Devesa de El Saler, including pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles, due to the level 3 pre-emergency for forest fire risk.

The measure, in effect from Monday, July 6, to Thursday, July 9, responds to the Generalitat resolution to maximize precautions during the heatwave affecting the entire territory. This restriction aims to protect the forest mass of the Albufera natural park against the extreme danger situation.
The council has reported that surveillance in the area has been intensified with personnel from the Forest Guard, the El Saler Fire Station, the Local Police, and Civil Protection volunteers. Additionally, Sideinfo cannons have been activated to maintain vegetation humidity.
Vehicles used for management, maintenance, surveillance, access to residences, agricultural operations, or service facilities located within the park are exempt from the ban. The regional resolution also entails the suspension of work on forest land and a ban on lighting fires in influence zones.
