The project, called Game2Gamble, aims to provide knowledge to improve the responsible design of digital entertainment and facilitate the early detection of risky behaviors. Researchers seek to better understand the mechanisms that affect the gaming experience to offer useful information to the public.
As part of this initiative, funded by the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, the experimental video game Rompe Bloques has been created. This tool, designed exclusively for research and not for commercial use, allows for the collection of data on user behavior during gameplay.
The scientific team is presenting their progress during these days at the OWN Valencia festival, which is being held at the Feria de Valencia until next Sunday. Attendees have the opportunity to try the game and contribute to the data collection for the project's development.
