The socialist group in the Corts has denounced the critical situation of the firefighting service in the Comunitat Valenciana, where 30% of the units are inoperative due to a lack of personnel.

The party has pointed out that the remaining 70% of units are operating incompletely. According to their statement, this situation is a direct consequence of budget cuts in Emergencies and insufficient planning to face the summer campaign.
The parliamentary group highlighted that the helicopter-transported units are in the most concerning state, as they have a very reduced staff compared to the operational capacity they should have. The criticism focuses on the late incorporation of personnel without the necessary training or integration to ensure a safe response.
Finally, they recalled that the lack of own resources from the Generalitat Valenciana has forced them in previous years to rely on state forces, such as the Military Emergencies Unit (UME), to deal with the most serious fires. The socialists have demanded more efficient management to ensure the safety of professionals and citizens.
