The Provincial Council of Castellón has allocated more than €35,000 to 14 youth associations to enhance their participation and program development. The Deputy for Youth, María Tormo, highlighted that these grants provide fundamental support for the future of the province's towns and its overall future, providing resources for projects focused on educational leisure and youth engagement.
The beneficiary entities, which promote participation, dialogue, and training among young people in Castellón, will receive funding to carry out various initiatives. The deputy emphasized the "essential" role of these associations as spaces for participation and the creation of active citizenship.
“"If we want a future for our towns and our province, we must support our young people and the programs that promote educational leisure, youth participation, and social development. They are the tomorrow, the future of this land, and we must provide resources for them to develop projects here."
Among the entities receiving support are the Món Màgic Cultural Association, the Envoltades – Dones Lliures Association, the Salesian Youth Center Porta Oberta, the Association of Youth Centers of Castellón, Scouts de Castelló – MSC, and Joves de Vilafamés, among others. These organizations will undertake activities such as camps, excursions, workshops, concerts, and contests.
María Tormo stressed the Council's commitment to promoting policies that encourage youth participation and generate dynamism across the province's 135 municipalities, stating that "investing in youth is investing in the future of Castellón".
