The State Meteorological Agency has reported that the extreme heat episode will last for three days. An orange alert was activated this Monday in the south of the province, but the situation will worsen on Tuesday, when the risk will become red in regions such as Ribera, Safor, and Costera between 12:00 and 20:00.
Faced with this scenario, Emergencies of the Generalitat Valenciana has issued a special warning to alert about the danger these temperatures pose to health, especially for the elderly or those with pre-existing conditions. Authorities recommend avoiding any outdoor activity during the central hours of the day to prevent heatstroke.
In addition to the health impact, high temperatures significantly increase the risk of forest fires. Extinguishing services are working intensely to control active fires in the Soneja and Azuébar area, aiming to prevent the flames from affecting the Sierra de Espadán natural park.
The weather forecast indicates that the week will remain stable with light winds and very weak breezes, which will limit the cooling effect and accentuate the feeling of stifling heat throughout the Valencian territory.
