The initiative, which has a budget of 22.75 million euros, aims to integrate three new buildings with the existing historical properties on the site, such as the former Convent of Santa María de Jesús and the Historical and Photographic Archive.
The complex will occupy an area of nearly 10,000 square meters. The main building will house around 220 workstations, while the other facilities will be dedicated to Occupational Health, IT services, and citizen assistance, including a data processing center.
The design of the complex incorporates sustainability criteria, such as photovoltaic installations on the roofs, an underground parking lot with 160 spaces, and spaces for bicycles. Construction is expected to begin next year and be completed by 2029.
Once the project is finished, the institution's current headquarters, the palacio de la Batlia in Manises Square, will maintain its function for plenary sessions, institutional events, and public visits.
