Over the coming weeks, an environmental educator will visit the municipalities of the Mancomunitat de La Costera-Canal to offer personalized attention regarding the new waste collection and separation system. This initiative aims to resolve any citizen queries before the progressive implementation of the model, scheduled for October.
This campaign follows up on previous actions, including the project presentation by the President of the Mancomunitat, José Luis Gijón, and an information campaign by the awarded company. The new phase focuses on direct attention to explain the use of new domestic bins, correct waste separation, and the functioning of the door-to-door service.
President José Luis Gijón highlighted the Mancomunitat's commitment to accompanying citizens throughout the process, assuring that "no resident will be left with doubts." The goal is for the model change to occur with "tranquility, closeness, and confidence."
The Mancomunitat also reminds residents that they are receiving bills for the waste collection service, now managed collectively by the entity. This bill is distinct from the one from the Consorci de Residus (COR), which covers waste treatment. July and August bills have payment deadlines of September 5th and 20th, respectively, and can be paid at collaborating entities.
