The investigation, which began in June by the Judicial Police of the Abastos and Centro police stations, concluded with the man's arrest. He gained access to homes, offices, and establishments by climbing facades, terraces, roofs, and ledges to steal valuables like televisions and money.
The suspect used ropes, crowbars, and lock-picking tools to enter properties, sometimes entering occupied homes that he had previously scouted with binoculars. During the operation, a search was set up, leading to a high-risk pursuit by officers.
Agents eventually found the man hidden inside a building, which he had accessed through a pre-made hole. At the time of his arrest, he was carrying a crowbar, lock picks, 150 euros, keys, identification, and credit cards, all stolen items that have since been returned to their owners.
The arrested man, who had numerous previous convictions for similar offenses, has been remanded in custody.
