The award highlights the structural monitoring solution applied at Las Naves, a key building in the València Innovation Capital strategy. This municipal initiative aims to transform the city into an open innovation laboratory. Innovation Councilor Paula Llobet emphasized that buildings like Las Naves are crucial for testing and validating innovative solutions, thereby fostering a smarter and more efficient city in urban management.
The technology employs sensors installed at strategic points within the building, such as the four walkways at Las Naves, to record movements, vibrations, temperature, and humidity. The collected data generates a digital twin of the building with 3D models and automatic alerts for any anomalies, transitioning towards predictive maintenance that enhances safety.

The jury of the National ‘Facility Management & Services’ Awards recognized the integration of technology, engineering, and asset management in a real-world usage environment.
