Villena City Council will begin repairs and improvements to pedestrian crossings on Constitution Avenue starting Monday, August 24th, affecting traffic flow at various points.

Local Police will establish marked alternative routes, which will be modified according to the progress of the work and the specific pedestrian crossing being repaired.
The initial phase will focus on the section of Constitution Avenue between Puerta de Almansa and José María Soler street, heading towards Salesianos. During this stage, traffic will be diverted via Juan Chaumel street, with options to rejoin the main road via Elda or Escultor Navarro Santafé streets.
The Councilor for Works, Sergio Palao, has advised citizens to pay attention to instructions from work supervisors and Local Police, urging prudence and patience throughout the duration of the project.
The aim of these works is to fix four pedestrian crossings to prevent accidents and trips, while ensuring accessibility. The project will progressively move to other locations along the avenue to complete the improvement of all crossings.
Subsequently, work is planned for the same section in the opposite direction, continuing sequentially to the various pedestrian crossings on the avenue.
